Things You May or May Not Know About Rees's Pieces

So today is the 12th day of the 31 for 21 challenge and I thought instead of blogging about 21 things I would do 12 things you may or may not know about my family since it is the 12th of October. It is also 21 backwards, aaaannndddd I don't know if I could come up with 21 things you may or may not know about my family. So here it goes...

1. Our last name is spelled R-E-E-S, no E at the end. It was originally Rhys, but it got changed when Bill's Great-grandfather came over from Whales.

2. We have 2 pets...a dog named Cocoa and a cat named Laney.

3. We live 1 mile from Lake Erie and we love it!

4. Bill and I both work-out regularly. I try to get to the gym 3 times a week at least and then I walk or do something else like ride the recumbent bike at home 1 other day. Bill on the other hand, gets up at the crack of dawn every day during the week and either goes to the gym or runs before he even starts his work day. He amazes me with his dedication...seriously.

5. We frequently give tickle-hugs and tickle kisses at our house because our little princess Gwynny LOVES them! Lily too!

6. I can actually sing! I used to sing in a band and in church and for weddings. I have gotten away from it over the years but I was so blessed to be able to make a professional recording of myself singing the song, "Thank You" for my dad's funeral recently.

7. My wonderful hubby Bill has been an avid cyclist for almost 2o years. He LOVES to ride his bike and has two of them, a road bike and a mountain bike. He actually rode his bike to work most of this summer when he had the opportunity since he works only 2 miles away. He also used to race about 6 years ago when we were first dating and married. He hopes to eventually get back into racing some day after the kiddos are a little older. His hero is Lance Armstrong!

8. We are a Christian family and we go to church every Sunday that we are able. I help in our Children's church ministry and Bill helps with their IT needs. We love the Lord and we have met some really great people through our church that have stood by us through everything we have been through in the past 16 months with our little angel Lily.

9. We love CHOCOLATE! I mean it's like we all crave it! If there is chocolate cake to be had Bill will take that! If it's chocolate ice cream Gwynny is there! Me...well just give me anything chocolate and I am happy! Liliana is just bound to like chocolate! She has NO choice! It's in the genes! Just wait till she starts eating! Look out world! Hey maybe that's what I should be putting in her food to make her eat more? LOL!

10. And now let me reveal for you the BIGGEST geek I know Star Wars Geek that is...Drumroll please...Bill! Yes, Bill is very much into Star Wars. When I first met him his office was also his Star Wars room where he kept his most prized possessions. Now that we have been together for over 6 years and we have kids he has decided to downsize his collection a lot. He sold the majority of it on E-Bay and just kept the original figures from the very beginning. I know what some of you are thinking...why didn't you run when you had the chance, really he isn't obsessed like some guys. He's really a great guy! Swear. :)

11. I love scrapbooking! I find that I don't have as much time as I would like to spend on it, but when I do I really enjoy it. It's a great way to unwind and I usually go to crops with my friends so we can catch up. It's a great Girl's Night out. I just wish I was more caught up on my kid's albums.

12. Last, but certainly not least, we have a child with Down syndrome. She is the most beautiful, amazing, funny, cute little girl and she is all ours! We love her so much and we wouldn't trade her for anything!

THE END.
