Merry Christmas Liliana! We Love You!

We had a very busy morning opening Santa presents with Liliana's big sister Gwynny. Grandma and Grandpa also came over to see Gwynny open her gifts and then we (Bill and I) made a big breakfast for all. Gwynny was especially excited to get her Disney princess dolls and her Dora house. The only thing that was missing was Liliana unfortunately, but there will be other Christmas's to come. I have to keep telling myself that. After Santa and breakfast Gwynny went to Grandma and Grandpa's house and Bill and I got ready and then came up to see Liliana. We stopped at Drug Mart on our way up and we got a phone call from Dr. Mummtaz one of the surgeons at the clinic. The first thing he said was that Liliana was stable, but that they had another blood culture come back with a fungal infection. Not good! He said they have been treating her with antibiotics that should cover it and they were going to add on some more. He said that fungal infection can be very tricky to treat and that scares him. Clinically she looks good but they need to get this thing under control before it takes control. I pray to God that this thing gets out of her body forever so she can recover. She has been looking good and resting comfortably since we have been here. We love you baby girl and we are rooting for you all the way! Merry Christmas little angel!
