Getting Ready For A Much Needed Vacation

Well, this week has been such a rat race between Lily's therapy appointments and doing last minute errands, etc. to get ready to leave for vacation. We originally were going to leave after Bill got home from work Thursday, drive for a few hours, then get a hotel for the night and finish the trip on Friday. That would get us to his sister's house much earlier then if we left Friday. Well after talking it over Bill dreaded the thought of packing the car, then unpacking it at the hotel Thursday night, then repacking it Friday morning. I understand the frustration of that. We also thought we could save that money that we would spend on a hotel and use it for vacation. Well, now I have again been rethinking things. I guess I am just anxious to get out of here for awhile. I suggested to Bill that maybe we should leave Thursday. Maybe it would be better if he took the day off and we drove the whole way Thursday because Friday may end up being a very busy day on the highways. Lot's of traffic! I'm thinking that a lot of people have the day off in observance of the 4th and thus they will be using that day as a travel day too. Makes sense, right? Well, this would also mean that we would have to bust our butts tonight and get packed and do as much as possible before bed if we did plan to leave tomorrow morning. It might be worth it though. Decisions, Decisions. All I can say is I can't wait to just relax at my sister-in-law's house. She lives right on a lake. We can go fishing, swimming, out for a boat ride, and just lay around and relax. They have no tv, but they do have internet so I can check my blog and everyone else's and just play on the computer. It will be a nice change. We also are going to try and go to an amusement park called Holiday World. I think G will really enjoy that! Well, off to start my incredibly busy day from therapy at 11am, lunch with Grandma and Grandpa at 12 noon, some errands, hair appointment at 2pm, pedicure after that, then off to the gym to workout, and home for dinner then packing. Makes me tired thinking about it.

Have fun on your vacation. Enjoy a boat ride for me. :-) No TV though? I don't know if I could manage. ;-)
